What do you do?

At Remote Performer Ltd. our aim is to bring musicians together. Not everybody has access to the high quality musicians that their tracks deserve, and it is our mission to bring those artists together. You can be assured of a quality performance from our artists as all are experienced live and session musicians who have a great deal of experience with remote recording.

Can I join as an artist?

Subject to the application procedure going smoothly, yes! Please view the Join Us page for more information.

How much will it cost?

That varies. The price you get depends on what each individual artist has set their prices at. They will charge you a fee for the first track in an order, and often times, a discounted fee for subsequent tracks. The artist also has the right to charge you an arrangement fee if you're not providing sheet music, or another if you want multiple parts recording for the same track. The best thing to do is find an artist, view their profile by clicking on their picture, and find what they charge under 'Prices'.

Why do you charge a booking fee?

We charge a 7.5% booking fee on every order. This goes towards card transaction fees, site development, keeping up to date with the laws that govern our privacy policy, and improving the customer experience (including but not limited to customer support). This means that the artists receive the fee that they set and we don't have to eat into their earnings!

I didn't receive an email after placing an order

If it's been more than 30 minutes since you placed your order and you still haven't received your aknowledgment email, first check your spam/junk folder, and then if you still can't find it, contact the team immediately so we can find out what went wrong. After you do receive your first communication from us, be sure to add us to your safe sender list.

How do I pay?

Payments can be made by using SquareUp Secure Payments, accepting Apple Pay, Google Pay and most credit/debit cards. We require a 50% deposit when you place your order, and you will be asked for the outstanding 50% once the artist has completed your order.

How will I know if I'm happy with the tracks before I pay?

Once the Artist has completed your order and uploaded the tracks for you to collect, they will attach a short demo of one of the tracks for you to review before making your final installment.

How do you vet your artists?

Every artist has submitted demos of their playing, both raw (just them) and also in a full mix so we can hear how they blend. This, plus a review of their equipment, biography, and reputation in the industry assures us that they are capable of delivering the highest standard of performance to our customers.

How long will I have to wait?

Our artists should confirm your order within 48 hours of you placing it, and then there is a period of 2 weeks for them to record and upload in. Please see the terms and conditions for more information regarding the accountability of our artists.
